Good article on Mobley. He says a lot of good things, including this:

Mobley said, ?I really don?t hate a lot of things, but I hate Michigan. I already have that gross taste in my mouth when I hear about them. When I see people in Michigan sweatshirts at school, I give them a hard time. (Ohio State commitment Michael) Brewster and all those guys, we all have it on our Facebook with the countdown to the Michigan game and the Gold Pants and everything.?

Eden Prairie's Willie Mobley sticks with Ohio State despite urging to play at Minnesota

Article Launched: 02/07/2008

As soon as Willie Mobley walked into the dance studio at Eden Prairie High School on Wednesday morning, his intentions were clear.

The all-state defensive lineman wore a red, hooded sweat shirt emblazoned with "Ohio State" in big letters across the front. In his right hand was a red and gray cap with a big "O."

There was no doubt Mobley was prepared to finalize his commitment to the Buckeyes and end rampant speculation that he had changed his mind and would enroll at the University of Minnesota in the fall.

"I heard rumors every day until about two or three days ago," Mobley said after signing a national letter of intent to attend Ohio State. "I knew all along I was going to be a Buckeye. It didn't matter to me what anybody was saying.

:shake: at the things that were discussed in the article directly above. A forged letter allegedly bearing Tressel's signature telling him that he should go elsewhere! The more I look at the antics that go on to try to confuse these kids (and I know tOSU fans are not excluded from this), the more I'd like to see some type of early signing period so these kids can move on with their lives without being hassled and enjoy their last few months of high school.

 at the central message in the article from Mobley ...

"I knew all along I was going to be a Buckeye. It didn't matter to me what anybody was saying."

Obviously a kid with a square head on his shoulders.

I have to admit things with recruiting are getting out of hand. When kids are getting death threats, forged letters, and people calling them 24/7 that are not coaches from prospective colleges things are going too far. I have to agree that Willie had the right state of mind and attitude and laughed it off because he was determined to GO WHERE HE WANTED TO GO!!!!!!!
