Football or not, four bills is a death sentence. I'm glad he is getting healthy.

Hope Chris gets on the field with regularity this year as a reward for his dedication!!
Your post made me go find the pic you mentioned, and I agree... He doesn't look fat at all at 340. Reminded me a bit of Hankins, actually.NJ-Buckeye;2360956; said:Looking at JWins photo of Carter.. if this is 341 lbs... show me a better put together 341 anywhere in the land.. he looks awesome

Of course, Carter also sports an epic beard. Can't go wrong with that.

Chris Carter wants to be the mountain on Ohio State's defensive line, now that he's shown the Buckeyes he can move
By Doug Lesmerises, Northeast Ohio Media Group
August 21, 2013
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Spreading his hands wide, Chris Carter gazed off into the distance, imagining the stands of Ohio Stadium around him, and philosophized on why he can live without as many fries and pizzas. The Ohio State redshirt sophomore sports a solid beard, and his coach at John F. Kennedy High School said he used to find Carter sometimes silently in thought, so this was going to be deep.
?It tastes good,? Carter said of those greasy delights, ?but being able to make a tackle in the middle of the Shoe with 106,000 people cheering, that's a little better.?
If Carter gives off a bit of a guru vibe, it's not because he sits on a mountain top. It's because he's been the mountain.
Carter began his career at Ohio State as a curiosity and a punchline. His signing was delayed in 2011 because of a misdemeanor arrest, but a week later police determined no charges would be filed and he signed his letter of intent with Jim Tressel a few weeks later. His weight immediately became an issue, with Carter saying he topped out at 398 pounds the summer before his freshman season. Interim coach Luke Fickell, talking about defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins during the 2011 preseason, asked, ?Big Hank used to be Big Hank, but now you look at him and say, ?Is Hank losing weight or is he just standing next to Chris Carter??
Upon his arrival as head coach, Urban Meyer expressed little use for Carter at that weight, insisting that if Carter didn't get to 340 pounds, he'd never play.
?If he can get in shape, he?ll play here,? Meyer said last May. ?If he can?t, no chance.?
Now, there's a chance.
?He's a guy we're hoping we can get something out of,? Fickell, the defensive coordinator, said this week. ?We're going to see in the first four games. He'll have an opportunity, and we're hoping that we see what we've seen out here.?
