From what little I've read of the legal documents, it appears the prosecutor is all over this case. That's about the only positive in this horrendous ordeal.

I think the statistics nationally are something like 20% of victims will ever tell anyone about their abuse.

Yeah, lets worry about his well being and safety. The kids...not so much...who gives a $#^%& about them but lets make sure Joe stays safe.
