Disgraced Former Penn State DC Jerry Sandusky (convicted child molester)

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Penn State's trip to the Alamo Bowl in 1999 has attracted the interest of Texas authorities amid allegations of child sex abuse involving a former assistant coach.

San Antonio police Sgt. Chris Benavides said Thursday his department is "looking into the possibility that an offense may have happened" while the football team was in town.

Former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky faces child sex abuse charges in Pennsylvania. A grand jury report says Sandusky took one boy he allegedly molested to the game and threatened to send him home when the victim resisted his advances.

The Alamo Bowl was Sandusky's last game at Penn State, where he coached for more than 30 years and was once the heir apparent to Joe Paterno. Paterno was fired for failing to do more about an abuse report involving Sandusky.

For some reason I hadn't even thought about that yet...on how many team trips did Sandusky bring a kid along? Federal prosecution under the Mann Act in the future?

Also one thing I haven't seen anyone mention yet is that Sandusky's wife contacted at least one of the victim's before his grand jury testimony. Are we going to see her indicted at some point as well?

Penn State Sex Scandal Forces One ESPN Sponsor To Temporarily Drop Sponsorship

The fallout and media coverage over the scandal at Penn State has caused one of ESPN's advertisers to temporarily pull its college football TV sponsorship.

In the wake of Penn State's sex abuse scandal, Cars.com has withdrawn its "Presenting Sponsorship" of "Saturday Afternoon College Football" on ESPN for the next two weeks. This was first reported by ESPN's "SportsCenter."

These games include Penn State-Nebraska, airing at noon this Saturday, and next Saturday's Penn State-Ohio State game. An ESPN spokeswoman had no comment about this or any other potential TV sponsors pulling out of games involving Penn State.

With the scandal already taking the jobs of long-time Penn State football coach Joe Paterno as well as the college president, Graham Spanier, media buyers talked about being cautious about how to advise specific clients who buy college football involving Penn State.

Gary Carr, senior vp/executive director of national broadcast for media-buying agency TargetCast tcm -- who doesn't have any clients in these games -- said: "I would probably pull out." Still another media executive said: "We are asking the question; we haven't decided yet."

How is McQ not fired? Can someone please explain that to me?

The only thing that comes to mind is that he knows something that the school doesn't want leaked to the public. I literally can't think of any other reason. He witnessed child rape and saw this guy around the campus for the next decade+, and just goes about his business?

Has anyone touched on the fact that the DA that investigated the initial incident went missing in 05? With his car abandoned and his hard drive-less laptop in a river? A fucking murder could be connected with all of this. God knows what is going to come out in the next few days/weeks/months/years.

Addressed earlier in the thread. DA Gricar was in process of prosecuting the biggest heroin bust in Centre County when he went missing, and he wasn't the first government official to mysteriously vanish in connection with that case.

It only gets brought up once every 5-10 pages.
