Watched the first two episodes last night...just got the first season on DVD. Having gone into it knowing nothing about the show or the book I thought it was awesome.

Recently caught up by watching season 3. Saw season 4 premiere. Looks promising. Lithgow is fuckin' gross though. Please no more shower scenes.
Naked in the shower, scalding himself, crying, fucking win. What a great addition and start to the season. He's an awesome actor. Will be much fun to see the "final showdown." Terrible about the new "office romance" addition however. Why does Hollywood always have to add in stupid shit like that?

The new season started Last sunday, watch fast so you can catch up :p

I just found out about it about a week ago and zoomed through the first 3 seasons via free on demand, fanpop, megavideo, and videostic. It's extremely addicting and right up my alley as a police officer and burgeoning detective with a background in serial killer psychology. I think it's pretty on the mark as far the psychology of serial killers, but the detectives on the show are pretty incompetent to not have put the pieces together yet. I guess the writers covered themselves initially by including the fact in the interim that only 20 percent or whatever of murder cases are solved in Miami. However, those cops are irregularly incompetent. *SPOILERS* They didn't find the pattern of missing murder suspects earlier. Dexter is using the resources within the Miami department to investigate a lot of the victims. What was Doakes' incentive of requesting a DNA test of the blood slides before they implicated him? I could go on and on.

*SPOILERS*

I have a question for the viewers of the first episode. Is it supposed to be assumed that he didn't dump the boxer's body parts before flipping over in his car?

I am pretty sure that is supposed to be the exact assumption or the ending wouldn't be as nearly as much of a "cliff hanger." The point of the character is the fear he is about to be caught is more important than any fear that his children may end up without a daddy.

To say I would hit it is an understatement.

Season's getting good.

SPOILER BELOW:

Who do you think shot Deb and Lundy? I originally thought Anton but that doesn't really seem like him. I'm guessing the vacation murderers.

Spoiler Alert:

Vacation Murderer it looks like (& hotel, killer took wallet etc), but of course it could be Anton making it look like V.M. but that really wouldn't fit with a "crime of passion".

I thought it was implied to be the Trinity killer. While he grabbed Lundy's wallet he didn't touch Deb's purse.

Also, why the hell did Trinity get his ass kicked on purpose?

The last murder is supposed to symbolize his dad and his dad probably abused him. Just my 2 cents. I'm not sure if all they gay remarks were what his dad said to him or just something he used to get someone to kick the shit out of him.
