Gonchar was playing with a partially torn MCL. (Just saying, not trying to start a debate)

Some warriors out there. Stanley Cup is the hardest to earn in all of sports. Not really even a contest..

Petr Sykora and Sergei Gonchar sure as hell weren't healthy. Gonchar got hurt on a cheap shot by Ovechkin, missed some games and was no means 100% for the Wings. Sykora missed game seven in Detroit and Crosby got hurt during game, playing two shifts the last 30 minutes of play.

No one was saying Pittsburgh wasn't playing with hurt players.

This is the Red Wings thread, you know, where we discuss the Red Wings. I wasn't making excuses and I don't think dragard was either.

I will be honest. I wouldnt shed a tear if the wings never made the playoffs again. I am so sick of them, they are startin to remind me of ND back in the day. all you hear about when someone mentions hockey is the damn wings. If any other team had 15 year all stars on their team, they would do the same thing :biggrin:

Although unlike in ND's case, the Wings have cashed a couple more opportunities in during the streak :biggrin:
