Derrick went to Clemson's Spring game, they expressed their interest in him. He states he does not know when he will make a decision, will take visits to Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, and Arkansas in the near future. At this point he says Clemson is his favorite over Ohio State.

I grew up in Columbus. I am a season ticket holder. I have coached at OSU for over a decade. If 20 years ago I had offers from the entire Big 10 and OSU told me they were full at my position, you can bet Michigan would have been hard to say no to...

As much as our two fanbases want to scream from the mountain tops about Kyle Kalis, Justin Boren, Brionte Dunn, Dymonte Thomas, etc. the fact remains that these kids have to do what is best for themselves and the smart ones take childhood allegiances out of the equation.

Didn't say that. Was only giving a hypothetical. I don't believe OSU has stopped recruiting Derrick but I can't say that for sure.

I feel there is a difference between having offers from just the Big Ten, and having offers from 28 schools nationwide.
