Defending yourself in your home

Sensing a strong urge to get back on the topic I will offer the fact that I own guns. I keep them in safe places. If I can help it I will never allow anyone to have control over the lives of myself or my family. Given the opportunity before , during, or after an incident I will do whatever I can to gain and keep that control.
I know how to set up a crime scene.
My wife can shoot the head off a squirrel at 100 feet with a pistol.
(Don't ask :wink2:)

I have to admit I find it laughable that so many people are against guns, especially the ownership of them. Especially when their primary concern is always the "accidental shooting" fear. How about those same folks throw some of this same passion into the war on drugs? Or drunk drivers? I guarantee there are thousands of more deaths related to alcohol than there is to an "accidental" shooting.

Then the next favorite argument is to "prevent violent crime". I know this is obvious, but the idiots that are committing murders and robberies and assaults aren't exactly "legal" owners or carriers of firearms. Every single gun control law I've ever seen does nothing but "punish" legal gun owners. Ohio can ban all firearms...all that will mean is that the cops and the criminals will carry them...the criminals will just get them from Indiana or Kentucky, or wherever. Ugh.

NOTE - this diatribe is not aimed at any individual here...just a rant. There is obviously a difference between the personal choice to not own weapons, and the effort to take weapons away from everyone else.

You'll shoot your eye out, kid.

It's a well known fact that thinking will make your poop hard.
Einstein had very hard poop! Louis Pastuer had hard poop. Thomas Edison had hard poop. Ben Franklin was known for his hard poop. Tressel has hard poop! (Charlie Weis does not have hard poop)
