Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

That actually seems reasonable. His actions were to preserve his (false) image and legacy. Leave the statue. Tear the stadium down. That would be more fitting. Then, those who want to see the statue of the enabler can, and the rest of the world would have no reason to ever see it again.

You just can't dismantle a cult very easily. Especially when so many running for the BOT are cult worshipers.
(and could it be they are actually afraid of so many cult followers?)
This is why the NCAA must shut down the football program for a couple years.

I really hope that nobody is out there saying "I'm glad this happened to Penn State." You would basically be joyous about a horrible human being abusing innocent boys. I don't think it's a problem on this board, but I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy seeing Penn State go through this even though it meant horrifying things to countless young men. I hope those people keep everything in the right perspective.

No one is saying that.
However, there is a great deal of anger over the whole Ped State "holier than thou" attitude they took when Tressel got in trouble trying to protect some kids who made dumb mistakes. Even Paterno made some snide remarks about Tressel. We all new about Ped State football players getting special treatment when they broke student laws and laws in general. Paterno and his "we're doing it the right way" football program were a fraud. Now it's proven the were worse than just a fraud. Paterno lied to a Grand Jury. All four of the top guys lied repeatedly to a Grand Jury.
They were morally bankrupt.

I don't give a fuck about Penn State; Joe Paterno was a fraud. That's his legacy. The more I think about it, the more I think his damn hand written notes on Sandusky's retirement memo thing regarding Sandusky "spending too much time with Second Mile" were just euphemisms for what that really meant to him. I think he knew from day 0 what Sandusky was. I'm fucking joyous that the shit-bag enabling motherfucker is dead, not that a horrible human being abused innocent boys.

It started well before the Tressel situation. They've been holding their noses up towards the entire college football landscape since the 70s. And JoePed fanned the flames every step of the way. Remember his famous quote about not wanting to leave college football to the Switzers and Sherrills fo the world.

I'm taking no pleasure in what happened to those kids. I am taking great pleasure in the whole cult of Paterno being burned to the ground. It is possible to separate the two.

The University must be punished not for what Sandusky did but for what the Joe and the Administration did..I don't want to hear innocent Penn Staters might be hurt. Whenever a person is punished innocent people suffer..whether its the kids of a criminal, etc The people involved and Joe's family must know that whatever is done to PSU was the fault of the culture that these men created and supported.

Not sure, but the assholes were all set to descend upon Ohio Stadium wearing this crap last November before the scandal hit.
