Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

I guess once this has run it's course we'll either be playing one other B1G team or be like the SEC and play a non conference mid conference schedule. Not likely pedstate will have much of a program.

With their past history, I imagine Penn St will continue with a very strong football program.

In Division II.

My PSU buds are still screaming... lies... lies... lies.. Paterno was a saint... and they're taking that to their graves...

How they still see tatoogate more wrong than this... is mind blowing

"At least we've never had to forfeit games and bowl victory nor banned from a bowl"

well, good for you... tell that to the dozens of kids raped after your entire university knew what was going on... from 1998 and earlier... when everyone from janitors to coaches.. including St Joe Pa.. knew about it

If anyone compares this child rape scandal to free tattoos, punch them in the face. Seriously.

Apparently, the cult was stalking Vicky Triponey's husband on facebook, so he signed up and ripped them a new one. Marvelous stuff.

Read it before the cult flushes it into the memory hole.

Re: I never realized Vicky "can't get over being fired for cause" TriponeyReply1. This is a 7 day trial membership thatI will let expire because I can't imagine actually paying to read some of this drivel. 2. I enjoyed my time at Penn State. Had a great time with the students and I think most of my colleagues would tell you I did a good job -- even after my wife was screwed over by the Penn State leadership.
3. Am I bitter about what happened to my wife? Yes. Am I obsessed w/ it? No. But more than ANY of YOU who post stuff on this site, I know what happened. She tried to do her job; tried to apply the Student Code of Conduct even-handedly. There was no prejudgment as to outcomes regarding the disciplinary process being applied to football players. Joe and Spanier and Curley interfered with that process, evidencing disrespect for the rule of law in favor of the rule of a despot.
4. Vicky is a change agent and a leader; leaders, as one would think SOME of you know, make tough decisions sometimes. That makes for a very easy target for those who don't like change of any kind. The crap about how she was power hungry, etc. is just that -- crap. Yes, some of the "status quo" types were upset. And when that "status quo" gets displaced by a MORE -- yes MORE -- democratic (small "d") process they got angry and started circulating a bunch of trash about her on websites. And 99+% of it is just plain libelous.BTW -- not ONE of those people (to the extent we know who they are -- see below) EVER spoke w/ her about any of the stuff they pass off as gospel. Do ya' think a civil conversation would hurt? "Oh, hell, why bother when we can go on the web and trash her professional standing and her person?"
5. To date, the evidence points the finger squarely at Spanier, Schultz, Curley -- and yes, Joe. That's my view based on the facts I see. Ya'll are entitled to your own opinions -- but not your own facts. They are what they are, even if you don't like them. And the facts also support a pattern and practice of meddlesomeness in places where the football program should not have intruded.
6. I don't "hate" much of anybody or anything, but I sure do see a lot of it on this board. Are you all projecting?
7. When I say I know what happened to my wife, I absolutely do. And I know Joe played a role in it. Furthermore, I know his Mr. Fix-It -- Guido -- played a part in it on Joe's behalf. So if I am skeptical that a statement allegedly from Joe before he died actually came from him. It's because I know the kinds of games those guys play.
8. There is way too much more on this site to answer piece by piece. You guys just invent stuff that goes beyond the pale. Vicky was NOT "fired for cause." That is a lie. She resigned. Was it pleasant? No. But she was not fired for cause.

9. One final thought. The things I have said, I have said in my own name. I am indeed responsible for them.

Why the hell are all of you too cowardly to do the same? If you think you know the truth, then speak up -- in your own name and be responsible for the consequences. You can call me all the names you want; but at the end of the day, unless you are man enough to own it, it's nothing more than simple hatred expressed under the cloak of anonymity which means it is nothing more than "delusional flotsam." (Which for those of you who may not know, refers to debris from a sinking ship).

That's funny (not ha-ha funny), because one of my State College buddies has maintained that Sandusky's pederastness was common knowledge...

Which has nothing to do with Joe's sainthood.

If JoePa were still alive, they'd be considering perjury charges for this:

Paterno also testified in January 2011 before the Grand Jury. Paterno was asked "Other than the [2001] incident that Mike McQueary reported to you, do you know in any way, through rumor, direct knowledge or any other fashion, of any other inappropriate sexual conduct by Jerry Sandusky with young boys?" Paterno responded, "I do not know of anything else that Jerry would be involved in of that nature, no. You did mention - I think you said something about a rumor. It may have been discussed in my presence, something else about somebody. I don't know. I don't remember, and I could not honestly say I heard a rumor."

He could say that the 1998 incident, which he was aware of the investigation for, was not 'sexual conduct". The lawyers could debate what was a rumor; and Joe also said he didn't remember, and could use his age and health as reasons that he could have forgotten things - so they probably would be hesitant to bring those charges against him, but in my mind he clearly told some lies to the Grand Jury in January 2011.

In a manner of speaking, portraying yourself to be someone that you are not, projecting an image that is not accurate, cultivating said image even admiring said image that is not congruent with one's true self, is also a version of lying. In my mind, the former "saintly, does things the right way" head coach of State Penn had been lying since about 1980.

I would forfeit every game Ohio State ever played if it meant none of those kids were ever raped by Sandusky, and I wouldn't think twice about it. It wasn't even our scandal, but it's only a fucking game.
