Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

BuckeyeNation27;2137052; said:
i told my bosses an employee saw sandusky doing something inappropriate in the shower with a little boy.....routinely saw sandusky around campus with little boys after that....and assumed he was dealt with correctly. that's normal, right?

And, all of this arises years after said former employee retired early, at the peak of his success, due to similar past reports.

The Paterno statement just looks so reasonable until you look at the surrounding facts.

JoePed's family is whining again because the rest of the world continues to insist on judging the old man based on the new shit that came to light last year rather than the cult worship of Joestown.

Damn, how can so many people with no previous axes to grind against JoePed and no link to each other get it ALL so wrong! C-O-N-....speeerassy.

I actually saw tv ads a few weeks ago that said that now that things have calmed down, "It's time to get back to the most important thing, honoring JoePa." The ad was for a sponsored special, but the person they used was the same news guy who was reporting on the Sandusky mess.

Hypocrisy exists in the news? NO!

This unprofessional and irresponsible rehash from clip files and anonymous interviews was slapped together in a matter of weeks and rushed to market, as the authors have acknowledged...The price of their obsession with speed...

Yep. 'Cause we all know if there is anything the Paterno clan abhors, it's hurrying.

Ohhh, just plum ducky-dandy. :grr:

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/penn-state-pays-millions-paternos-231037463--ncaaf.html

Penn State has agreed to provide millions in payments and benefits to Joe Paterno's estate and family members under the late football coach's employment contract, although a family lawyer says the Paternos did not sign away their right to sue.

Other elements of the package include a final paycheck of $34,000, a death benefit of $51,000 and $350,000 - payable over five years - under a 1986 consulting agreement. The university also agreed to forgive $350,000 in outstanding loans and debt. No explanation was provided regarding Paterno's debts to the school.

The university's breakdown said his contract was amended in August to include a $3 million career bonus if he retired at the end of the season, the payment that constituted the largest part of the money his estate received Thursday. After Sandusky was arrested, Paterno announced he planned to retire at the season's end, but he (was) then removed as coach by the trustees...

If your gag reflex is weak, I don't recommend reading the "comments" section--an undiluted litany of praise for JP.
