They (producers) have a submersible to use this year.
They had a special on last night about how they ready the boats with all the mounted camera's and all the hand held camera's. It showed how all the videographers had to pass the emergency lifesuit speed test. They had to have it on and ready in 1:30.
I think they're having new episodes on at 9 and 10 tomorrow.

My swing feels like an unfolding lawn chair.
I love the show, but i wish they would touch on the techniques the captains use to find the crab. location, depth, bait etc i think it would really showcase the talent that goes into catching these things.

Captain Phil from the Cornelia Marie is pretty good, too.
I noticed the young punk Captain is not back this season (name?).
Last seasons best episode might have been when Jonathon Hillstrand from the Time Bandit rescued that guy that went overboard from the other ship. The crab gods gave him some payback after that rescue becasue he was pulling up near-empty pots before that, but full pots afterward.
Oh, and fuck American Idol. Finally something worth watching on Tuesday night!

You knew the guy's a punk the moment (last season?) he got some mano-e-mano info about where to go to "get on the crab" from Capt. Phil, and then turned around and blabbed it -- on the CB no less -- to another boat.
That's when Phil decided to pull up some of Blake's gear and weld the door shut to one of the pots.
I remeber that he (Blake) had a tantrum at the end of season 1 / start of season 2 (???) because his boss (Capt. Keith Colburn) reneged on his promise to give blake a shot at being captain because he was still not respected enough by the crew... go figure! Wonder why? :p
