Yeah, the Viper or LEO is the Bobby Carpenter-Vernon Gholston-Thad Gibson-Nathan Williams-Noah Spence DE/OLB position. Stand up DE basically that rushes about 65-70% of the time and drops back into coverage on other plays.
I just wonder how much playing time Lewis will get the next few years if Spence presumably takes over that position next season and is there for the next 2-3 years. Might have to be more of a rotational guy if that's the case.
At 6-3 225, maybe they could use Lewis like they do with Von Miller on the Broncos. SLB on 1st and 2nd down, DE on the 3rd down.
