Hotmic, if you read the recent Plain Dealer article, it sure sounded like Zook did or certainly would offer to guys like Homan and Klein.

"Linebacker Storm Klein committed to Ohio State in October after receiving his OSU offer Sept. 1, the first day the Buckeyes were allowed to extend it. After his OSU pledge, he described Illinois' attention as "constant," with the Illini still wanting him to visit Champaign. "

"They were in the mailbox every day," said Homan's father, David. "It was like, My God, this guy is just coming into Ohio like crazy. This is nuts.' "

Illinois also had publicized offers to Simon, Wood, Fields, Bell, Givens, etc. so I'm sure the number is higher than 0-4

the "gentlemens agreements' only exists amongst gentlemen.... or the fact that its based on when a kid says no, you stop. its kind of like college, if she has a bf it doesnt mean shes off limits, when she tells you she has a bf you either slow down or speed up your game, when she says ok, be oppurtunistic, when she says stop, stop unless you want to end up in trouble...

Got it. So to Tressel's comment, he was saying that Rich Rod forced Barnum, Shaw and Roundtree to decommit from Florida/PSU/Purdue when in reality they wanted to play for those schools. Let the kids make their own decisions and don't strong arm them. That is low!

Im just saying the last time he was on Illinois' campus was for the Wisconsin game....way back in september. Let him visit again and see where things stand. He's been to OSU at least 3 or 4 times since with people hounding him to come to OSU.

Tressel didn't say anything specific about RR, some people interpreted it that way.

But would he switch his mind publically to OSU if he was even remotely considering ANY posibility of sticking with Illinois? How would that make him look?

When the kid says that being recruited by OSU is his dream, I don't think being recruited by said school can be called "hounding" him.

His comments when he committed are pretty definitive for OSU, but keep hoping I guess.

He's gone... Move on... I'd be very surprised if he still visits...

Welcome to the family Melvin!! :osu:
