The DEs slide down in nickel packages and Larimore would usually cover the center. Its looks like a 3-4 up front. Williams was effective in the base 4-3 especially when #s 43 and 98 lined up on the same side. I know he's undersized but this kid was getting movement on the LOS, I haven't seen a lot of that this year.
I like what Heacock did, getting the quicker guys on the inside to put pressure on th QB. Showed some creativity and thought that it was slightly successful.
Yeah I loved the way he was playing out there. He has great size and was driving the offensive lineman way back into the QB on seemingly every play. He was the freshman I was most impressed with against minnesota.
I love the fact he's playing DE where he can really use his speed. Hopefully we see more of this with our bigger LB prospects(maybe Klein this coming year).
Love what we're doing with Thad and Williams at the DE spot. Williams will pick up a few sacks this year for sure, and they won't be in garbage time.
Williams seemed to be everywhere making plays yesterday. Great to see more young players stepping up. I really was impressed with the heat he brought on the passer.
Great idea putting him on the line and utilizing his speed on the rush, I also like Freeman in this role too.
Great performance by Nathan on Saturday. He showed great strength and quickness getting to the ball...he certainly does have that "motor." I'm hoping to see him get a few more reps in there.
Williams is very impressicve physically and attitudinally.
Hopefully he learns to attack the QB's back/outside shoulder so he won't give up that spin to the outside and lose contain.
Weber burned him twice on that when Nate made a beeline straight for him.
Other than that, can't ask anything more than he's shown, that's for sure.
I just can't get over how strong he is for his size.
