Not trying to hijack this thread (what a way to start a post
) but I think UT's DEs win out out in a comparison against tOSU's.
As Starbucks noted, Reggie White coupled with Little and Haynesworth is pretty formidable.
Haynesworth was one of the best defensive players in the league this year (certainly at his position) and when he isn't backing over women and children with his SUV and a 40 oz of Colt 45, Little is a force off the edge.
Vrabel is a converted LB, so I can't count him,
nor can I count Peterson and Pickett (DTs), Finkes didn't last long enough in the NFL....I will give you Will Smith, Richardson, Darrion Scott, and Spellman.
However, while Smith has been great at times, Scott rotates in w/ the Vikes, Richardson's career is in its infancy, and Spellman was only great when he took his meds.
Reggie White alone makes the UT group of DEs much better.
Back to Wells: I don't think he can do wrong at either school given both have shown the ability to get college DL into the NFL (which I think was your point Caustic - that tOSU was better at getting DEs to the league, and now I get that)...but if Wells wants an honest coach who won't sell him on baseless facts, etc just to get him in the door and to play at one of the top 5 programs in college football (of all time), then tOSU is the place for him.
