DE Jaylahn (JT) Tuimoloau (Owner, Giant Erector Set, All B1G)

Pryor aside, this is starting to look like those battles we don't win.....and often times don't try to win.
One was a rockstar, the biggest recruit in history that ate up the limelight and had a huge entourage and a circus of a recruitment. He delayed his visit and added to the drama, allegedly to minimize drama at sporting events.

The other is probably the least dramatic, most reserved recruit we've seen and he's not allowed to visit his favorite team nor play his final year of football, and delaying for those two gets him compared to Pryor.

yeah, I respect the kids who have waited through these uncertain times to do their due diligence, cross off the boxes at each school, and make an educated decision about where is the best place for them. The visit limitation rules have had to been really challenging for these '21 kids to make informed decisions. Regardless of what J.T. decides, he has gone about it the right way.

I wasn't comparing him to Pryor other than the timing of the commit.

The reaction across Buckeye recruiting sites has been weird. Yes, there was some growing buzz that he may go ahead and decide next week, but once it started looking like visits would open up in April it was pretty obvious this would be the direction his recruitment went.

He’s maintained all along he wanted to visit Ohio State before making his decision.

If that happens, Tuimoloau would be able to make official visits to schools he wants to see in person. Faletoi told 247Sports that Tuimoloau wants to visit both Ohio State and Alabama with his parents before making up his mind "just so we're all comfortable."

His five finalists revealed in December include the Buckeyes, Alabama, Oregon, USC and Washington. He has visited each of those schools except Ohio State, which is viewed as the favorite to land Tuimoloau and holds all six Crystal Ball projections.

Just sayin': Can't blame him for wanting to take official visits with his parents to all the schools that he is interested in before signing on the dotted line. Which is great news since he hasn't visited Ohio State yet. The good news is that all the Crystal Balls are all in our favor.

Hes def drama free but I'm getting some JC Latham recruitment vibes. My pessimistic said says good luck at Bama. No disrespect intended to JT
Latham was quarantined at home for months with a family member who was pushing him heavily to Bama.

That isn’t the case at all here, and the only person who he talks to—Huffman—has been saying he expects him to sign with OSU for months.

The kid just wants to visit the schools he is interested in before committing... there are no abnormal circumstances or changing circumstances that are shifting what has been the trend here for months.

I understand your pessimism when going head to head against mighty Bama in recruiting, but like @Buckeye86 sAid, not the same kids or scenarios. I think JTT really want to take a visit, and that’s fair when leaving for a college that’s across the country. He owes it to himself

While I think if he signed next week with us, I really don't see it hurting at all. In fact, I think it helps seal the deal once he finally gets a chance to visit. In a normal year, he'd probably already be a Buckeye, but good on JTT to make a visit to be sure. I believe he's trying to play his senior year in the spring for his team as well and you gotta respect that. I can patiently wait with my popcorn
