Can't deny that Ohio State has produced more draft picks than the Wolverines. Ohio St and USC are the best at sending players to the NFL. However, I think Michigan could have more quality than the buckeyes. I just found this recently at a site so I'm not sure if the numbers are correct.

The Inconvenient Truth Behind The Ohio State Draft Mystique

hard to deny that Michigan has fewer players than the buckeyes....but it seems they make more of an impact than buckeye players. Those players came from a different Michigan. Sadly Michigan won't be sending much quality or quantity to the NFL with that jackass at the helm.

As for Brandon. Sure it was wrong for him to call Vernon out. I'm ok with him talking about lack of production because facts are facts. However, beyond that it was below the belt.

So did he put fuel on the fire or is there nothing wrong with what he said?

If both phrases have any useful meaning, then you can't have them both in the same argument.

There is nothing wrong with what he said - what he said puts fuel on the fire.

Therefore, something that puts fuel on the fire is not wrong.

Seems to make sense to me in a rivalry.

Not sure what the confusion is.

If something isn't wrong, it doesn't put fuel on the fire.

Unless of course you so dilute the meaning of "putting fuel on the fire" that it becomes an utterly useless phrase.

Go on. Torture the language all you want. I don't really care.

Skunkbears really love to claim Tom Brady now... and yet none of them really liked him when he was there.

Either way, I do like to to see Buckeyes do well in the NFL, unless they play for Pittsburgh. I'm completely indifferent when Michigan players do well in the NFL, unless they play for Pittsurgh.

On the other hand, I hate to lose to Michigan and I love to beat Michigan.

So 6 wins in a row is a far bigger deal to me. But I guess they need to find something to hang their hat on.

I have always liked Tom Brady. I felt the coaching staff held him back a little because Michigan was built on pounding the football. Brady led us to our only BCS victory over Alabama. They turned Brady loose that game and he torched bama. He has intangibles that you can't teach/coach.

I'm not hanging my hat on anything. I love to see Wolverines get drafted and do well in the NFL. I try to follow their careers.

Nothing like some good statistical bias. The article looks at current players that have been drafted since 1995.

Why current players? Didn't Eddie George, Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, and Korey Stringer, among others, have a measurable impact on the NFL? Other Buckeyes within that time period that aren't current players include LeCharles Bentley, David Boston, Mike Doss, Rickey Dudley, Jamar Martin, Chris Sanders, Brian Stablein, Jonathan Wells, and Michael Wiley.

And who's on Michigan's list as having been drafted since 1995, but not on his list? Damon Denson, Chris Floyd, Ian Gold, Brian Griese, Mercury Hayes, Drew Henson, Victor Hobson, Chris Perry, Jay Riemersma, Aaron Shea, Tai Streets, and Amani Toomer.

So which of those two lists I just gave is more impressive?

Next time some Michigan fan tries to skew the analysis by "innocently" restricting his analysis to players drafted since 1995 that are still playing, ask yourself one question--why are you letting him count Ty Law, Tom Brady, and Charles Woodson while letting him exclude Eddie George, etc.?

The better and more honest comparison would be to look at all players drafted since ___, not all players drafted since ___ that are still playing in the league. Nice try, and it sounded good on the surface--but it didn't fool me.

There were plenty of other Buckeyes that made significant impacts in the league that weren't on his so-called analysis. Typical Michigan boy trying to do a man's job.
