I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. To be successful as a salesman, you gotta be onto the latest trends and socials early and often. You see younger guys like Hartline, Pantoni, Laurinaitis, Denis, etc on Twitter daily. It’s about repping the brand across IG, FB, Twitter, TikTok, etc. You go where the kids are, gone are the days on relying on an older coaches resume (unless it’s an HC). The position coach has to be dialed in to make the connection.

Case to case. It was NIL with Lightfoot earlier because they chose not to match Miami’s number (possibly to be revisited at this point). But Birm indicated they were prepared not to be outbid by anyone for guys like Stewart, Bolden, Baker, Houston.

Other targets seem to be ahead of four-star defensive end Ernest Willor Jr. on OSU’s board right now, but that could change if he visits later this season. There doesn’t seem to be a high chance of either Dylan Stewart or Marquise Lightfoot flipping from their current commitments, but if that changes, OSU would welcome either into the fold.
