DB Malcolm Jenkins (All B1G, All-American, Thorpe Award, All-Pro, 2x Super Bowl Champion)

MJ so far has been very good, now it is time for him to take it to another level and do as JT says seniors must for tOSU to have a successful season, start having the best games of his career, perfect place to start this coming Saturday, battle of the five stars versus the three stars. I'll take the three star JL and MJ over any other LB, CB combo in the nation.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Malcolm Jenkins wears his heart on his sleeve -- or, more accurately, just under it.
It is there, on his upper left arm, that the Ohio State senior cornerback was branded with two large, overlapping Greek letters -- two Omegas, which stand for Omega Psi Phi, a predominantly African-American fraternity. Jenkins is the chaplain of the OSU chapter.
The letters were created by bending a coat hanger into the proper shape, heating it, and then applying it to Jenkins' skin. "It hurt, but not too much," he said.
That he was willing to undergo the branding is a testament to how much the fraternity means to him.
Q What made you join in the first place?

Is it time for the coaches to let MJ out and let him take care of his half of the field and let the other ten loose on SC, hopefully MJ, his fellow seniors and the entire team play the best game of their lives tonight. :oh:

Tracy Boulian/The Plain DealerMalcolm Jenkins, shown here against Troy, has been a little too aggressive in his coverage at times this year.

For Saturday we have a story planned on James Laurinaitis and whether he has played to expectations this year. I know people who are on both sides of that argument.
This week, cornerbacks coach Taver Johnson offered an interesting take on the other Buckeye who turned down a certain spot in the first round of last year's NFL Draft to return this year.
Of senior corner Malcolm Jenkins, Johnson said, "He's been solid. I truly believe, and Malcolm and I talked about this, I don't think he's had his breakout performance yet. We're still waiting for that. He's been working, it's not like he's not trying to. He's definitely been a solid player and made some plays for us and give us a lot of leadership. We'll always be excited about him for sure."
One thing that has shown up so far is Jenkins' tendency to draw pass interference penalties.

"I seem to get one every game, so I'm not too worried about it anymore," Jenkins said after last week's win over Wisconsin.
"For sure, no penalties," Johnson said when asked to define what a breakout performance for Jenkins would be. "We talked about that, and most of his penalties have been aggressive."
