DB Malcolm Jenkins (All B1G, All-American, Thorpe Award, All-Pro, 2x Super Bowl Champion)

Oh god, lets not get that arguement going again :roll2:
seriously. fox was definitely gimpy in that game, and it definitely was once he was burned deep. Corners do get beat occasionally (I know it's shocking for some to realize that). Ashton shut down Braylon, Stubblefield and others, but he's been burned on occasion.

In other words, a good 4.5 running back is a lot more rare than a good 4.3 corner. Jenkins should have run Maroney down. What was more important about that play was that Jenkins made the effort. A majority of college CBs could have run down Maroney but would've conceded the TD rather than do the wind sprint.
I don't understand why you guys are excited about Jenkins running down Maroney. What are you talking about Maroney being fast? He got run down by one of our plodding D-Linemen!

Is he hurt? didn't see the field today despite the fact the the bench was thoroughly emptied

He was listed as a starter when the announcers were saying the starting line-up. I'm sure they would have made some on-the-spot correction and said something like "he is listed as a starter, but we probably won't see him because he's hurt". I didn't hear them say that, he was listed at CB with the starters, but remember Everett was in there and saw alot more action today.

Saw a post on BN that said Jenkins was held out due to a slight injury. Not sure about the reliability factor. Hope he's ready for The Game. Wouldn't mind locking down UM's big 3 with our 3 best corners, and let Whitner come off the edge from time to time.
