DB Malcolm Jenkins (All B1G, All-American, Thorpe Award, All-Pro, 2x Super Bowl Champion)

I hope Malcolm and Jamario become good friends. Jamario is another player with special abilities. He will also be a great one. With these two in our pipeline for a long time, our secondary should be solid.

The defense just has this aura that they all pass down solid work ethics to the younger pups. It's great to see. Hopefully their drive and determination passes over to the offensive guys and they begin to develop the same swagger too.

Malcolm Jenkins (official thread)

I'm not a corner guru, but GOLLY Im lovin Malcolm.

The hits he puts on poor WRs who have to run screens or hitches are great!

And then you know he talks a little trash.

Ah, Malcolm, continuing the tradition of Ohio State badass DBs.

PS: Maybe someone can comment on how effective he is at actually covering receivers?

IU was his breakout game--I was very impressed with how quickly he closed in on opposing WRs and how hard he hit them when he got there. As has been said before, he reminded me a lot of Antoine Winfield. Jenkins' future looks very, very bright.:osu4:

I thought he had some trouble getting up field to stuff the run early on, and he also gave too big of a cusion sometimes which made curl routes a gimmee route for apposing teams. But obviously he is improving every game, and as others have mentioned, the way he got up field and put a hit on people against Indiana really impressed me, especially considering his trouble in early games, at least in my eyes. If he continues getting better game to game like he is now then watch out!

You think the coaches are telling him to back off a little on receievers? Know what I mean? They might think that because he's a freshman he's a little more suceptible to the deep bomb.

If that were true, I'd be really really interested to see him when they turn him loose.

Just another example of a kid who didn't have enough big time offers or a high enough star rating for a lot of fans to get excited about. Jenkins has been outstanding and will undoubtedly get better and better.

Brian Robiskie and Anderson Russell are probably 2 other players you'll be able to add to the list down the road. Thank God JT takes chances on these "C" recruits. :roll2:
