DB Corey "Pittsburgh" Brown (DB Coach Slippery Rock Univ.)

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Notebook: East team jells with full squad (free)

Wide receiver Corey Brown injured his lower back Monday but bounced back and looked 100 percent Tuesday. He was one of the more productive receivers, especially early in practice when he made a nice fingertip catch on the sidelines and then caught a touchdown pass from Tajh Boyd during 1-on-1 drills.

For those that didn't hear, Brown got blown up after catching a ball on Monday and was walking around fairly gingerly...glad to hear he is feeling better.

And FYI, before the ledge jumpers see that post above about a possible Pitt visit, let me put it like this...I was more worried about Justin Green. :wink2:

Thank you for being proactive!!

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Army analysis: East stars (free)

CB Corey Brown, 6-1/180, Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway

ASSETS: Has quick feet and very good body control.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Is a bit on the thin side so he needs to add about 10 to 15 pounds.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE IN PRACTICE: Really did a nice job of cutting and planting while running routes.
CONCLUSION: Even though he is playing offense in this game, don't be surprised if he plays either corner or free safety at Ohio State. Seemed to fight the ball some in practice, but on video he is one of the best ball-hawking DBs I have seen this year.

(free)

WR Corey Brown
6-1/180, Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway
Brown was slowed with a lower back injury earlier this week but he's come back with a vengeance the last two days and had a number of big catches in Thursday's team drills. The Ohio State commit had the nicest catch in practice when he went deep and caught a pass from Aaron Murray over the outstretched hands of safety Willie Downs. Brown also had a nice grab on a pass from Newsome.

WRs vs DBs clips, Gallon, Turner, Wood, Green, McGee.

Posting this in Brown's thread as he did quite well in these clips.

I thought Green looked really good in coverage, aside from Brown beating him that last time.

Brown had some nice grabs.

That also what I thought too. Wood looked like he got beat by Orson on the first clip and by Brown on the sideline catch. Green appeared to be the best DB out there and Brown looked really good at WR too.
