David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?

With Eddy VanHalen getting a divorce, I figured I'd ask who the board liked better from his other "divorces". I always thought that David Lee Roth was very entertaining, but VanHalen was a much better band with Sammy, from a musical standpoint. Plus, they are pretty damn entertaining with him as the head man too.

Roth is the man. Van Hagar was nothing more than a pop band. I like to call them Van Sync.

To get a real read on this the Roth years need to be broken up. The first 4 albums (yes goddamit I said "albums") Rocked!!

The last two Roth albums were bubblegum rock.

Dave all the way. "Hot for Teacher" is an absolute masterpiece. Haggar was great, but Dave was legendary.

Hagar for the sole reason that Roth was so full of himself. Now I know Hagar was as well, but for God's sake the band should have been centered around Eddie and not either of those two. Growing up, "Don't Tell Me" was the song that got me into Van Halen, and yes I know I'm pretty young.

I like them both, its like two different bands on equal levels Van Halen and Van Hagar. Too bad Sammy sold out to pepsi.:dead:

More entertaining and crazy with Roth. More talented and organized with Sammy. Sammy is a much better musician. In fact he is a very under-rated guitarist. His vocals kick ass as well of course.
