It's not like I didn't snicker when told. I'm just passing the information on. I think my friend is simply realizing that it's going to be a long process to hire a new AD and a new coach and that in the meantime things are going to get worse before they get better.

U-M to hold news conference on Dave Brandon, sources say

The University of Michigan will hold a news conference this afternoon to discuss athletic director Dave Brandon's future, multiple sources told the Free Press.

The sources – all with first-hand knowledge of plans – said they were not at liberty to disclose what will be announced. They did not want to be identified because they were not authorized to talk publicly about the situation.

U-M spokesman Rick Fitzgerald declined to comment when asked whether a news conference would be held.

What a cowardly way to go out, Dave. Where's your will to survive. I was hoping the magnificent bastard would pull a Costanza and wall himself up in his office. Make the bastards bring in the construction crews to get him out of the building.
