It's not the truth, but I always thought if he concentrated on the rest of the games like he concentrated on Ohio State, maybe he'd have a better record.

But he probably concentrated on the rest of them the same (and still lost).

I imagine they'll take a look back at Brock Spack.

Coached under Tiller. Currently coaches a buddy of mine at Illinois State. Not sure what else they can attract.

The only way a program like Purdue can gain relevance is to find a coach with a gimmick that will give them some kind of advantage for a couple of years like Tiller did. Not sure any of them are out there right now.

IMO, What they need most is a young, fired up, fresh coach. They have had the stereotypical old, fat, white men led them the last 2 decades. Younger guys that are animated and more in touch with the 20-something world can relate and really fire a team up. Guys like Chris Peterson, Pat Fitzgerald, Lane Kiffin, Urban Meyer, Chip Kelly, Gary Patterson, Mike Gundy, Mark Richt. These guys actually are able to motivate their guys. Its hard Im sure for some guy that may have grown up on a different side of the tracks in Gary, Indiana to be on the same level as a stuffy old white man that is struggling to win ball games.

If Im Purdue, Im looking at some young Assistant Coaches/Coordinators that are ready to step up into the HC role in a big conference.
