Yes, the Teddy chant spread like wildfire around the Horseshoe after his 82 yard punt return for a TD during the Michigan game. I was surprised it didn't pick up on the tv broadcast but it seemed like the entire stadium was chanting his name.

Needless to say, given his track record for flooring us whenever he touches the ball, the chant will be back.

I hear ya. I felt damn lucky to have won the "lottery" last year. Good stuff. The only thing better than kicking scUM's ass is being there watching it live, and in person.

i know i am a lucky bastard. being a freshman i of course will be in c deck but you won't hear any complaints out of me. excited is not even the word. there are no words. not just the texas game but just the season in general. we have a great team this year, as long as they can put it all together and play to their potential, the possibilites are endless. GO BUCKEYES!

I thought for pre-conference games, when you ordered your ticket helps as well. I remember last year we went on their website at 7:00 AM on the first day tickets were avaiable for students and got 11AA row 2 for Cincinnati and Marshall. Course, I guess being a rank 4 sophomore helps, but I knew other rank 4's that got stuck in C deck. Someone in the OSU athletic ticket office needs to write up a sticky on the intricacies of getting tickets cause it seems more complicated than sending men to the moon.

If student ticket placement was based solely on GPA, you'd get a whole shitload of kids working really really hard at school that's for sure.

It goes by who the lowest rank in your group is and how many is in your group.

Say you have 2 seniors that were in AA last year, but want to sit with a freshmen, they go by the freshmens rank.

These past two seasons have been awesome with the "NUUUUUGGGEEE" chant and the PA blasting Ted Nugent's 'Stranglehold' before every kickoff.

It also matters how large your group is...I don't know many groups larger than 3 people that have ever been in A/AA...when I was a frosh I sat in 30AA, right by the players tunnel about 25 feet from TBDBITL, and it was really awesome :). I think it might be slightly different for pre-season games, but I don't know what the differences are.

I've been to the last two night games, and I must say, the atmosphere is absolutely electric. There is nothing like it.

I feel sorry for the guy who said this is his first game ever. Its likely this game will make every other non-scUM game seem almost anti-climactic. Its like hitting a hole-in-one the first time you swing you a club. How can it get any better?

I'm pysched for this game, even though I have a 15 1/2 hour work day before hand. I'll save some serious juice for the game. The UW game in 03 was the same the same way. I got home around 1:30am and slept til around 10pm Sunday night.

i would kill for a ticket to this game but missing my opportunity at season tickets im afraid ill be hard pressed to find any.:( no offense but at this stage i hate texas more so than michigan so IMO this is the biggest game of the year for me and if it doesnt set a new crowd record something deathly happened. night game+2 massive tradition rich programs+championship potential+big name players+national attention+conference pride=a crowd as large as the place can possibly hold.

As I'm entering my fifth year at OSU, I've been to every home game for the last four years. I don't think anything will ever beat the 2002 Michigan game, but I'm more excited for Texas than anything in a while. Regarding the comment about large groups in A/AA deck, the last two years I've been in a group of 12-15 people and we sat in A deck both years. I'm almost positive seating is determined entirely by class rank, because we were all juniors/seniors at the time.

The Texas game will be the largest and loudest game ever at the 'Shoe; simple as that. The atmosphere will be like a national championship game, except it's in September.

To the dude who will experience his first college football game that night; enjoy the shit out it. Seriously, this is something you may never see again in your life. In 15 or 20 years you'll know how us old farts feel and how lucky you really are.

Hopefully by the middle of the fourth quarter, we'll be able to hear the "over-rated! over-rated!" chant from the OSU crowd. :biggrin:
