crowd at the shoe, 9/10

I don't know how many Michigan fans attend the game in Columbus every other year, but for what it's worth, it's estimated that 20-30K Hornfans will be making the trip with about 10-15K getting tickets.

I have no idea it those figures are accurate, but I read it yesterday on some board and can't find the link now.

It wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if we have that many there though. The game against tOSU is basically the opener for us and we're probably not going to get an OOC away game of this magnitude for years.

I wouldn't be surprised if more showed... I wouldn't bet on it, but I think more longhorns could show, since there have to be tons of you in the midwest as well.

The numbers will be huge, and if not we'll enjoy video footage of one of our bpers eating mili's socks :)

There is no way 30k Texas fans get into the stadium. I have my ticket and I for sure ain't givin' it up.

I think the noise is going to be absolutely incredible to hear. I was at the scUM game last year and man was it noisy, but it was early. Just think of all the people that will have an extra 5-10 drinks in them, before kickoff.

I will say there will be 106,500 people there.

ive never been to a night game and cant remember the last time i saw one, if lets say a normal michigan game is a 50 on a scale of 1 to 100, then whats a good night game?
If it is a scale of 1 to 100, scUM has to be at over 90... night games right up there, but none have been this big (Washington was the last one in what 2003?)

I would say this is going to be 95+ on your scale

I've been to the last two night games and can say that they are electric. This one will be around 100 (on your noise scale), I think it will eclipse most games....probably at a Michigan level..or higher. It has the possiblity to be the loudest ever if the elements come together. I think that everyone in the crowd will personally be yelling their asses off, to give Texas a proper welcome.

I would not doubt that Texas brings a big number of folks to the Shoe. They will be stuck in the top right corner of the bleacher seats (now concrete), and the bottom corner on the closed end, on the visiting sidelines.

The team that really stood out to me in the past was N.C. State, they traveled very well for the game in Columbus, I'm assuming that Texas will too.

I doubt very seriously that Texas is getting 10-15k tickets...I would guess around 5k. The rest will be at the mercy of scalpers...

I can tell you, having gone to OSU during the "Ed-die, Ed-die" days, you're in for a treat.

Tons and tons of Texas posters all over the internet are willing to pay any price to get in... it will be hard for some OSU fans to not sell their tickets for $250-300+ a piece to desperate texans. I'm sure they won't have many chunks of burnt orange out there, but I think there are gonna be a ton of orange dots in the stadium.

You are one lucky, little bastard. Take it from this alum, you are in for a treat.

I'll be making 3 trips back to the Shoe this year, but alas, Texas isn't one of them. Live it up, my friend, and root your ass off for the Bucks. It's our first encounter with the Longhorns, and no way can we let them win in our house.

Give 'em all you got. :pissed: :gobucks3: :gobucks4:

That's one of the many bonuses of having Tressel as the head coach, and not someone else (heaven forbid Cooper still being here). He totally understands the historical importance and magnitude of this game, and next to The Game it will be by far the most important game of the year (save the Rose Bowl).
