Coyotes in Ohio and Coast to Coast

"Hi, I live in a mountain home, encroaching directly on the natural territory of an opportunistic, scavenger predator. I think I will leave my defenseless sack of wet meat I call my child out in the un-fenced yard. What could go wrong?"

Speaking of defenseless sacks of wet meat, I hope Sam Bradford is having seconds on his desert tonight. :banger:

Some Reported Coyote Attacks on Children.
Hunting coyotes gives them a healthy fear & respect for man and child.

Yeah, I'm just waiting to see one of these things in my very fenced in, very suburban backyard. Gonna be fucking great.

The damned weasel I saw a couple times this summer was weird enough.

Not sure where you live AK, but I saw one in my suburban backyard 10 years ago. Taking a shit no lesss. Fence was up within months.

In town there isn't a lot you can do about it. In the country, it is different

Oh, there are quiet ways of deterence.

The Coyote fears the Ninja...

Well... that and whatever I'd do.. which is probably nothing like a Ninja.

Did you know that Walther makes air rifles? I didn't.

Trap them live, give them a sedative, tie em up,
Build a large fire and throw them on. Drink lots of beer with your buddies while they cook, skin them and gut them and enjoy with more beer.

OOOO, don't cook things without gutting them first. Bad, bad idea.

Shoot sorry, multi-quote didn't work for me.

Predator meat is not particularly tasty. Scavenger meat even less so.

Just saying. :(

It kinda reminds me of an old girlfriend, once you get past the hair and the smell it's not half bad. :wink2:

they are pretty animals actually.

a good friend of mine was at brazenhead in grandview a few years ago and hear one. that meant he likely was as far down the river as lane ave or further. a few years ago lots of reports of them near antrium. theyve been known to eat dogs, cats and attack kids.

I live up near Alum Creek Lake, and you can hear them just about every night. I heard a rumor this past summer that someone had their dog killed over in the campground, but I never got any solid confirmation that it actually happened.

I've started hearing the things howling in the woods at night. We're about 5 minutes from the outskirts of our town, 15 year old subdivision, so its understandable. It used to be we would let our dogs out at night to do their business, and then let them back in 20-30 minutes later. Now we have to stay out there and watch to be safe.
