Cotton Bowl: Ole Miss 47, Texas Tech 34 (Final)

This is who I picture when I hear Pat:

Not necessarily the pedophilia (though that's entirely possible), but just the mannerisms and general Alzheimers-ness.

Yeah, I just checked. Tech won 39-33 over Texas.

I remember Herbstriet coming on his Columbus radio show after that game and talking about "Whoo, Texas Tech." and how their O line would just handle Ohio State's defensive line.

Hmmmm. It will be interesting to watch that Vegas line after this game.

Big-12 defenses have done nothing to dispel the notion that they're really crappy and it's not because of playing amazing Big-12 offenses. Texas is the only one who has a solid D, IMO. OU's is overrated and will be exposed badly by UF.

Why do you think its a gimmick?

Well, let's see....

Players lined up in a manner inconsistent with virtually every other team on the planet? Check (O-Line gaps)
One player makes or breaks the team's chances? Check (See QB)
Lopsided talent towards gimmick and not other areas? Check (See O production v. lack of defense)
Small school who "can't compete" with instate powerhouse(s)? Check. (See Texas)

Ever see Tech run the power I?

No?

Didn't think so.

Are you sure Herbie took time away from promoting USC, Pete Carroll and Mark Sanchez to speak of another team?
