You know the scene at the end of Casino where the Teamster pension boss gets whacked in the parking lot? In real life that happened in Lincolnwood on the North border of Chicago. Albie was [allegedly]the gunman[\allegedly] the shooter. I met him a couple of times, and he sent down a round of drinks when a friend and I were day drinking at Richard's on a Saturday. We kind of freaked out about what proper protocol is when a mafia boss buys you a drink: send a round him and his friends? kiss his ring? tell him that we can afford our own fuckin' drinks?

I got the Moderna vaccine on Wednesday. Didn't even feel the shot. My shoulder is slightly tender--I notice it if I directly push on it. The one side effect that I didn't expect is that it really elevated my heart for about 24 hours. I only know because I wear a fitbit, but the night after the shot, my heart rate only went below my resting rate 4% of the time while I slept versus a usual level of 70 to 90 percent of the time. On Thursday, just sitting at a desk or on the couch, my heart rate was in the 90s (fitbit has my resting rate usually around 64 or 65). Thursday evening everything went back to normal.

Got my first dose of Moderna this morning. Like you, didn't feel a thing. So far no adverse effects at all.

My wife got her second Pfizer dose Saturday. She was pretty miserable the day after both of them, but was fine on day 2. I'll be interested to see what it's like for me when my time comes. She could barely walk up the stairs when she had covid and I was out doing yard work.

Getting this fucking thing in PA is ridiculous.

They have sent the supply in what seems to be almost purely corelated inverse to population.

Most remote, low population density area = send them the most supply

Only a government could fuck up something this simple, so badly.
