Scheduled for my first Pfizer shot on Friday. It's not the first one I'm nervous about, but instead, the second.
My sister got Pfizer 1 & 2 (in January) and went to the ER within 15 min of the second shot due to severe anaphylaxis.
Wish the J&J was available.

Why go back for the second shot? One shot of Pfizer or Moderna tested at higher efficacy than the J&J.

Talk to your family doctor for his opinion. It's possible one shot of the Pfizer or Moderna might be enough to keep you out of the hospital.

Personally, I’m glad to have received two shots and have close to 95% protection. Not just for myself but to know that I’m very unlikely to spread the virus and potentially cause other people, some who I would never even know, to get seriously ill or worse. Getting a second shot that millions of people have received, with very few getting more than minor side effects, is an easy decision for me to improve my Covid protection from 70-something% (or whatever 1 dose yields) to around 95%.

I also feel it’s doing my part to help stop Covid, and to help the economic recovery by avoiding another round of potential restrictions due to another spike caused by variants and the not-yet-achieved herd immunity.

I’m no saint, plenty of people here will tell you I can be an asshole, but I believe in not only doing what’s best for myself, but also what will help eveybody.

Ok, now sit back and watch how many people agree with the ‘I can be an asshole’ statement.

I haven't read up on whether there's a requirement when it comes to travel and things like that. If I can just do one, then I will.

Thanks. I'm not concerned about the hospital from Covid, but I understand what you're saying.

Valid points as well.
