"On the grift"? Fuckers purposely on welfare their whole lives are grifters. Some who volunteers for service, makes the most elite military team on the planet, kills the most wanted man on the planet, and then makes a buck or two talking about it isn't a grifter.

OK, maybe being on the grift is a little too harsh. I, however, think that he's mind-numbingly self-entitled because of shooting Bin Laden to the point that he thinks that he can not only disregard Delta's policy but mock it on social media while sitting in one of their planes, and when those actions have repercussions thinks that not only does the Navy Seal card absolve him of those repercussions but should somehow entitle him to a meeting with the CEO.

Icing Bin Laden should get you life time first class and free booze kind of thing.

I despise the "do you know who I am?" thing no matter who's doing it.

Let me ask you this, if that guy had an emergency appendectomy the day before the raid, what happens? Another guy gets plugged into his place and takes the shot. My point is that this guy was a cog in a much bigger machine that took out Bin Laden. He didn't single-handedly take out Bin Laden on some lone wolf seek and destroy mission, yet he sure as shit promotes himself that way.

Sure there would have been another guy but it's a pretty small universe of people who are on those teams in the first place and that guy is one of them. It's all relative.

I don't begrudge any of these guys for making a buck off promoting their brand when they hang up the spurs. It's still somewhat a free country, sell what you've got.

That is separate from his diva routine over the mask incident. That's total nonsense.

Not sure why it was even considered "risky" in the first place. Just wear your mask and take hand sanitizer with you. Heck, they might wipe the touch screen down after each voter steps out of the booth. Just keep people spaced apart and make them have masks. They only the mask even needs to be pulled down for a second if when they check your ID. If it's done right you could process thousands of people at a polling place without a single transfer of the virus.
Been a poll worker for 13 years and location manager for the past 10.

I was hesitant about working before covid hit because of the politicization of the electorate.

Now we have folks walking on to Burger King's private property and shooting teenagers who question their constitutional right to buy a whopper without a mask.

You think they are going to obey my little "Mask Required " sign when they show up to do something they actually have a constitutional right to do? When that sign simply confirms what the conspiracy theorists told them would happen?

I am old enough now that my primary daily activity is to work my way a little closer to the exit. But I will not take on the responsibility of running a polling location unless an armed sheriff or guardsman is standing at the door.

And to be honest - I think a voter turned away for lack of a mask would win in court.

I also believe that if you want an election to look like it was rigged you would encourage voters to show up without masks.

Welcome to 2020.

If you ran into Michael Jenkins at the airport, would you buy him a beer--or whatever drink he wanted--for "Holy Buckeye", or would you blow him off because, you know, if he had an emergency appendectomy the day before the Purdue game another WR gets plugged into the play and makes the catch? And before you say this is a bullshit comparison because there's a reason why Jenkins was the starting WR, there's also a reason why that SEAL was selected for that mission and why he was where he was at that point in the raid.
