Coronavirus (COVID-19) is too exciting for adults to discuss (CLOSED)

If you're talking about the ratio between cases and deaths, that may be somewhat of a minor factor. BUt regardless of how those test in the facilities noted was categorized (either positive or negative) those who died fro COVID were going to died from it anyway.
Right, but if a bunch of hospitals say "we have X positive tests" when they had 1/5 X positive tests, the ratio of cases to deaths is going to increase quite a bit.

We know that some people (it's not even clear who) are saying that these places are reporting 100% positive. That doesn't mean they had to be reporting more positives than they had; they might have simply neglected to report any negatives. If you have 100 positives and 400 negatives and you report the 100 positives...

The point is that, as for me, I will need to hear a lot more about this before I come to any conclusions about it.

To me personally, this Coronavirus thing that I have is basically "this years flu." And I question whether or not it's a "brand new" virus. My biggest problem has been the stuffy nose and loss of smell and taste, along with fatigue. I've had this countless times over the years and sometimes its taken me 3-4 weeks to kick it. I think I'm paranoid because I have this diagnosis of Covid. Maybe that little white ball with the red spikes that they call Covid-19 is something that they just discovered, even though it may have been around for years (?).

Who knows? Fuck it! GIMME SOME BUCKEYE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!

Peace

The headaches were the worst thing for me. Almost like an awful hangover for a week or two. No ENT or lung issues whatsoever. It's the weakness of the virus (asymptomatic cases) that makes it so potent as a spreader.

Fomites and You :smash:

Fomite transmission
Respiratory secretions or droplets expelled by infected individuals can contaminate surfaces and objects, creating fomites (contaminated surfaces). Viable SARS-CoV-2 virus and/or RNA detected by RT-PCR can be found on those surfaces for periods ranging from hours to days, depending on the ambient environment (including temperature and humidity) and the type of surface, in particular at high concentration in health care facilities where COVID-19 patients were being treated.(21, 23, 24, 26, 28, 31-33, 36, 44, 45) Therefore, transmission may also occur indirectly through touching surfaces in the immediate environment or objects contaminated with virus from an infected person (e.g. stethoscope or thermometer), followed by touching the mouth, nose, or eyes.

Despite consistent evidence as to SARS-CoV-2 contamination of surfaces and the survival of the virus on certain surfaces, there are no specific reports which have directly demonstrated fomite transmission. People who come into contact with potentially infectious surfaces often also have close contact with the infectious person, making the distinction between respiratory droplet and fomite transmission difficult to discern. However, fomite transmission is considered a likely mode of transmission for SARS-CoV-2, given consistent findings about environmental contamination in the vicinity of infected cases and the fact that other

I have made a habit of not using my hands to open doors at fast food places (Wendy's) Or touch counters and sinks/ faucets. Obviously money could become a "fomite" so a credit card is my preferred method of payment.

Are Robot Doctors Our Pandemic Future?

A cruel irony of the coronavirus pandemic is that medical professionals know better than anyone that social distancing is critical for slowing the rate of new infections, yet they’re forced to be the closest to the disease. And those that need social interaction perhaps more than anybody—the elderly—are the ones who need to isolate the most, since they’re the most susceptible to the disease.

Dewine has a 5:30pm press conference today and I'm concerned he's going to shut down again.
Went ahead and got a haircut, just in case.
I’m guessing it’s one of 3 things: shutdown, schools, or a statewide mask order. Our district just sent us the back to school plan today, so I am hoping that’s not it. If it’s just a mask order, then it’s no different than what half the counties have now.

We’ll see.

Appears to be a pep talk.
