Coronavirus (COVID-19) is too exciting for adults to discuss (CLOSED)

If a third of the country isn't convinced about the danger of Covid, any break or quieting of the pandemic will be viewed by that third as a validation that the pandemic was over hyped and poses no real threat to life and the state and Fed governments over reacted and caused suffering. There is so much we still don't know because of a lack of testing there will be things we may never have an answer to. The lack of testing is still happening for some reason.
Talking to a Texan reveals that Texas is torn between believing the government over reacted and caused economic suffering and those in county's like Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston/Harrison where Covid has killed a larger number of hispanics and blacks and put people in food lines.

As well as validation for the third of the country who insisted that shutting the country down, regardless of any other consequences, was justified. Both sides, you see, can own that argument just as easily.

More arguments for opening up:

600 Physicians Say Lockdowns Are A ‘Mass Casualty Incident’

Some main points:
“Suicide hotline phone calls have increased 600%,” the letter said. Other silent casualties: “150,000 Americans per month who would have had new cancer detected through routine screening.”
“Ending the lockdowns are not about Wall Street or disregard for people’s lives; it about saving lives,” said Dr. Marilyn Singleton, a California anesthesiologist and one of the signers of the letter. “We cannot let this disease change the U.S. from a free, energetic society to a society of broken souls dependent on government handouts.”
From missed cancer diagnoses to untreated heart attacks and strokes to increased risks of suicides, “We are alarmed at what appears to be a lack of consideration for the future health of our patients.”

It was a big weekend so perhaps the coming two weeks will tell us something. Because this is a pandemic it won't just go away but keep coming back till there is a vaccine in world wide use. That's a big fix to accomplish in any amount of time. But the advanced countries can at least get back on track with the virus under control . So much we won't know until next year. And getting 40 million back to work will take years. We cannot get caught flat footed ever again.
