Right. 'Cause emptying bedpans is where the money is, right? :roll1: /s

Quick googling indicated health insurer profits neared 1 trillion dollars last year, heisman. The system is broken and utterly immoral, imo.

Those health insurance CEOs aren't being paid 20. 40 and even 60 million dollars a year to provide easy access to affordable healthcare.

What's he looking for 10% positive or less?

That's the bitch, the counties are doing the math and saying there is no way. We could be here for months and we can't do months more of this.

He's almost forcing people to game the testing system if they want to open up their counties (or hope the fucking COVID fairy shows up and takes it all magically away).

Again, a sensible middle of the road solution has been presented and the hardliner isn't willing to budge.

Silver lining to all of this is these governors are getting spotlight and it's showing how hopelessly out of their depth many of them are. If it starts to wake Americans up to the fact that your local and state politicians are a hell of a lot more impactful to your day to day life (and therefore choose wisely) than, say, whoever the fuck the POTUS is, then maybe some good came for this whole hot mess.

Fuck I hate politicians though. Assfucks like this guy just make my teeth hurt they are so fucking bad.

And don't get me started on the way he probably railroaded Penn State with help from the BOT without due process!

So, I took the daily death totals from Apr 7 (the first day that the daily death count cracked 2,000) through yesterday (May 4) and put them in a spreadsheet. I then calculated the weekly death rate for each possible full one-week period, starting with the 7 Apr to 13 Apr period up through the Apr 28 to May 4 period, and plotted the averages and a chart:

covid-daily-death-weekly-avg-chart.png

You can see that since week period ending Apr 25 (column 13), the week-to-date average for each period has been declining every day.
