Something I haven't read on here is how the govt. is going to assist cities and municipalities who live off of income taxes.

They are going broke and will need to lay off large amounts of public safety employees to attempt to make-up for it.:sad2:
Just for clarification, they aren’t funded directly via income tax. Most of their revenue comes from property and sales tax. The lack of sales tax is certainly going to cause a severe shortfall for most municipalities. It’s going to get ugly.

The refusals to wear masks just blows my mind. As a basic surgeon's mask is about not spreading it to other people, it's downright psychopathic not to wear one.

It really is. And for as much as I hate to credit @Taosman, he’s absolutely right... it’s a simple thing that everyone can do. I’d have a hard time arguing it’s any kind of a violation of rights. At worst, it puts people at ease... at beat it slows the spread. Anyone who has an interest in things opening up would be hard pressed to suggest that this isn’t the right move. If new cases, less prison and nursing home counts, can be flattened or lowered with the use of masks while the economy opens up again, it should be considered a win.

What do you mean, refusal? It’s required as of May 1.

Yes, and some people are going to go out of their way to make the statement of not wearing one. It was required in Stillwater Oklahoma yesterday, and morons showed up at stores and restaurants demanding to be served without one and then threatening staff, including one yokel who pulled a gun. As I've said before, we are literally the stupidest nation on earth. Not to bring poli into this thread, or I would post pics of some "anti-mask" signs at rallies.
