Ok I get that...but what is it? Is it the flu? Are we going to turn into zombies?....I mean with how vague everyone is being I feel like Robert Kirkman is narrating this

It’s a less-lethal form of SARS. Flu like symptoms for some, many will carry it and spread it and never be the wiser. But in older people it can cause severe complications like fibrosis, which is swift.

3 little kids.

Kids are basically immune. They barely even show up in the data... only reported as cases when they're aggressively tested.
A lot of people have this with less symptoms than the normal flu... data doesn't start seeing people until their 30s... and even that's like 0.1%, and mostly people with some kind of complications or severe health risks (smoker, obesity, etc.)
It climbs sharply over 50 though... from around 1% mortality to 14% in 80s.

I encourage everyone to call their parents and/or grandparents.

Thank Dabo's lord of recruiting and southern superiority that I'm only 49.

As far as the death rates for those older than me well, we have a lot of trouble with these oldies. Pension day's the worst – they go mad. As soon as they get their hands on their money they blow it all on milk, bread, tea, tin of meat for the cat. Just sayin'.

At what point do you consider seizing state-to-state travel?

Every state has it at this point.

A few may not have documented cases, but the official numbers for US are obviously being kept artificially low**
It was over when we didn't screen at airports a month ago... too late now.

**40 deaths : 16 recovered, compare that to any other country and the difference is startling. We're obviously only testing severe cases that go to the hospital.

Countries known to be doing aggressive testing, and the numbers stand in stark contrast:
ROK (66 deaths, 333 recovered, 7869 cases)
Germany (3 deaths, 25 recovered, 2078 cases)
Japan (17 deaths, 116 recovered, 639 cases)

--> only severe hospital cases being tested --> people get it for 2 weeks with typical flu symptoms --> US culture of working while sick and not going to hospital b/c of Insurance Rape --> a shit-ton of people have it

And two years' supply of toilet paper and handy wipes.

Two days ago, these two ladies demanded an uncut lemon. They proceeded to rub Clorox wipes on the lemon for five minutes, then cut it, and put it in their water.

"Umm, you know you're ingesting BLEACH, right?"

Everyone has lost their fucking mind.
