One of my guys works remote, way out in the sticks.

Town of a few hundred has their first case

It's a 20 something college kid just back from spring break

Yep, and it's going to happen a lot. Dumb fucks were partying like it was 1999 then they spread out all over the country.

Things this crisis has revealed:
  • A lack of leadership at the Federal level
  • An increasing awareness of the financial issues facing the average American
  • The abundance of stupidity and general lack of awareness of what’s happening in this country

These things were all already "revealed."

Some people just chose not to look.

As I said about a week ago:

One of the great things about America is that, within pretty broad limits, one has the right to be an asshole. One of the not so great things about America is that many people think that exercising that right to its fullest somehow makes one more American than showing some personal restraint and is to be admired. As the latter gets more and more out of hand, the former becomes more and more imperiled.

Name one country government that was ready for this? zero... none.. nada
Name one state government that was ready for this?
Name one local government that was ready for this?
Blaming is easy.. doing whatever you can is responsible
Listening to blame makes me puke..
"Hindsight is always 20/20"
Without getting to political in the general thread.

The blame game is an extension of our government’s inability, especially at the Federal level, to set aside petty party politics and work as a team to responsibly lead our nation during this time of crisis. Have we seen Trump, Pelosi, and McConnell coming together to jointly attack this? Not that I have seen. Do the fucking job you were elected to do and serve this Country in the best interest of its citizens.

Why the focus on masks gowns ventilatiors and tests at the press conferences. Because you can count them. The things you can’t count are actually a bigger problem. Lack of training .,not having designated facilities for Corona.,so we don’t expose people unnecessarily and on and on,

missed one thing ... not really revealed but just brought further into focus
  • corporate greed has no bounds ... why have a rainy day fund when you can increase stock price, why have a rainy day fund because the government will give us no strings money.

If corporations are people then they literally are sociopaths.
