Confirmed: Tuberville out at Auburn

And that should really tell you all you need to know about Tuberville as a coach. He relied on his coordinators an inordinate amount. There seemed to be a new one on either side of the ball every other year.

Not always by his own choosing, which is another problem at AU. Some coaches will avoid that job for that reason.

When does Charlie Strong come out from under the UF shadow? Seems like he'd be a good candidate.

They've already contacted Mike Leach...he is making his circles (talked with Washington already)

Brian Kelly will be a great big program coach IMO, whenever he decides to make that step. I doubt Auburn even considers him though.

As stupid as this is, and as sad as it is to relate, there is some thought that Charlie being married to a white gal is giving some schools pause -fanbase wise. (Read: Mississippi State)

And this is the man who said OSU would be 5th in the SEC, who wishes they could be 5th in the SEC now, hahahahahahahahahaha. OK I feel better now

Also the man who said running the clock after kickoffs was a good idea, and nobody would even notice.

I'm actually more excited that he won't be head of the rules committee, unless he finds another job this off-season.

Dennis Erickson?

I could get used to hating that guy.

Seriously though, Auburn may have to throw Saban/Fat Ass Weiss money at somebody to take this job now.

Have somewhat of a rebuild in front of them, Bama, LSU, and UGA on schedule every year as well as an improved Ole Piss team. Oh and finishing behind Bama isn't an option. Lose to them and finish behind them once in a 7 year period could cost you your job.
Expectations on the plains are higher than they should be. That could be a pretty big turnoff for potential coaches.
