Conference Re-Draft Project

The B1G is the only conference with no teams remaining.

The only AQ conference schools remaining:

Cincinnati (EDIT - picked while I was posting)
Iowa St
Mississippi St
Wake Forest
Washington State

The non-AQ teams taken so far (ND is an AQ as an independent):

Boise State
BYU (not on the map)
Houston
Navy
TCU (becomes an AQ in 2012)

Fixed the BYU omission and Muck's Cincinnati pick.

So what are y'all planning to do with this mock-up?

It'd be neat to track some statistics over the season per conference and compare balance and total attendance, etc...

I'll probably throw up some numbers on how the conferences break down using the various metrics I was using.

I'm going to break it down by conference when we're done and try and make some sort of visual footprint sense of the conferences.

It'll be fun to see just how much the western schools skew most of the conferences.

I'm also wondering if we're going to split our conferences up into divisions, select intra- and inter-divisional rivals, etc., etc.

Good ideas!

I actually typed up the selection after your post.

I was mulling over whether to go with them (UC) or UCF (because of location & enrollment).

I'm waiting to see if somebody takes a team like Army or UCF, leaving out at least one of the AQ teams.

I had given some thought to Army earlier on (when looking at who I'd pick near the end), if my picks had gone a bit differently I might have pulled the trigger on them.
