As for as the offensive personnel comparison, I'd say the quarterback is about even. Doucet missed about five games, and without him LSU recievers had a huge case of the dropsies for much of the year. Lafell was the worst, and even cost Flynn a couple of interceptions, but it seems like he has it finally straighteneed out. Byrd, to me, is LSU best reciever besides Doucet. He is the one that caught the ball at the end of the game that everyone makes such a big deal about. The drops have really affected Flynn's completion percentage, but i'd probably take him over Boeckman to be honest simply because of his mobility. I'd give Ohio state an edge on the offensive line, but the thing is, they will be going up against LSU's Dline, not our oline. This may be the single most important matchup of the game. As for as Wide Recievers, I'll call it a wash. LSU did have the drops for a good part of the year, but they seemed to be over them the last few games for the most part. Running backs, I'll say it is a wash. Wells is probably a little better than Hester, but his success hinges on Ohio State's ability to block LSU's Dline. Scott and Williams are on the bench though, and have the potential to be difference makers in this game on lsu's side. Dickson is a great TE as a sophomore, and i really don't know enough about Nicol to comment.
