Comparisons between LSU v OSU defensive personnel

Actually I do not see where OSU has an advantage in any department. Maybe offensive line but that would be it. Your OLINE will not be facing out OLINE ...

If anything the teams are very evenly matched...

We both have dominating D-Lines. So us having the better O-Line automatically gives us the better rushing game. Or if we spread the field, it gives us the better receivers. It always comes down to the trenches.

Our offensive line, starting running back, linebackers, and secondary.

I will say it now, Well could not start in front of Hester, Williams, and Scott. LSU has better and more running backs than Wells.

Your OLINE is a bit better than our because we lost Arnold for the year and have to move people around.

Linebackers are a push. AH and DB are as good as any LBs in college football. Everyone on this board is talking about Wells running over our LBs and secondary, wait tell your vaunted defense meets the bayou badass...

Secondary has 3 seniors one who is an first team all-american, please give me a break.

crazy talk from LA.

Hester is a good college running back. But he isn't as good as Wells.....you can't be serious. If you are then all of your posts have to be considered highly suspect. Wells will be one of the top 2 or 3 RBs next year.

As for our backups....you may have us beat on depth. But it's not like we don't have some quality there as well. Mo Wells is average. Brandon Saine (18 year old freshman) is a home run hitter....give him a crease and none of your defenders can catch him. He will be the 2nd fastest player in the game...behind your speedy receiver.

well of course they have more RBs than Wells, but having 4 or 5 Rbs compared to one speaks volumes for the talent levels.....

And you prove again that you know nothing about Ohio State except for what you've read....

:slappy: Ok......

No one is saying that LSU isn't talented, but you make it seem like LSU has people destined to be NFL all-pros before they are even in the NFL.

LOL good point. Just seems there is not much respect for LSU...
On the contrary I think that many (not all) on this board have a great respect for LSU but when one comes on this board touting their team has better players at every single position expect some backlash... point in case: ALL of LSU's RB's better than a 1400+ yard, 14 TD Chris Wells.

Yes... but... Hester starts, no? Wells is bigger, faster, was the number one RB recruit in the nation, had more carries for more yards and a better average with bone chips floating around in his ankle all year.

Hester is a nice player... I absolutely love his style and intensity... and he's very effective, no doubt... but, seriously... get off the Hester crack.

As for "more" Running backs? There's only one fucking ball.

That point was directed at you, sparky... with your long list of superior talent across the board, according to you.

Never mind the fact that you've already demonstrated you know nothing about OSU's secondary. Heck you couldn't even look up a few mock drafts, yet we're supposed to give you a break? No thanks.

Seriously, OSU fans have some type of repect complex
No, we call out homers who clearly are running their mouths about wide-sweeping advantages with little to no knowledge about the opponent. Where exactly have you given OSU respect?
Saying Wells cannot start at LSU is not becuse he is bad
So what string RB would Wells be at your vaunted school?
