Columbus Crew SC (2008, 2020, 2023 MLS Champions)

It's mainly due to CONCACAF Champions League and that horrible international break in which some teams played MLS Reg Season games, some played CCL games. Crew have a pretty brutal stretch run, though.

Remaining Schedule:

Portland
at NY Red Bulls
at Toronto FC
DC United

If they win 3 out of those 4 remaining games, I will be thoroughly impressed.

Other leagues deal with international breaks and continental competitions without having that big of a difference in games played in the final weeks of the season though.

The major leagues have international breaks, though. Like last week or the week before, there were no Barclays PL matches. Not sure if Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1, and Serie A took breaks, but I'm assuming they did. That's the major issue is playing during the break. Columbus Crew had no business playing against FC Dallas a couple of weeks ago when they were missing 9 players, including at lease 5 starters.

Bump.

Columbus facing off against Didier Drogba and the Montreal Impact for game #1 of the eastern conference semifinals in a little over an hour on Fox Sports 1.

On paper, arguably the most exciting match-up in this round, along with FCD vs Seattle

The other games today have been trash so far. Hoping to see some Timber Joey in the second half in Portland.

Montreal matches up really well against us and they had ZERO cards in their KO round win over Toronto.

Hoping our 2 new defensive starters since we played them last, Montreal playing their 3rd game in 7 days, and a refreshed Higuain & Kamara lead to a positive result for Columbus tonight
