Columbus didn't play so hot tonight. Well, they did, they just couldn't finish. If I had to guess (since I was at the game), I would say Crew had about 60-65% of tonight's possession.

1st Henry goal, HORRIBLE marking by Marshall/James... Someone's got to contain him on that lob ball.

2nd goal, what can you do? Henry is up there with Beckham when it comes to corner kicks (he just doesn't have a movie named perfectly for his corners )

3rd goal, absolute. fucking. class. 'nuff said.

Got to go onto the field after the game and meet with a couple of the head supporters from the Red Bulls, they wanted to give us the tifo's (displays) they had made in Urso's honor. Class bunch of people that I had the opportunity to meet.

One more thing: if you are in or around the Jersey/NYC area and enjoy soccer, GO SEE A GAME AT RED BULL ARENA. Seriously, it's absolutely breath taking.

Will post some pictures when I get home.

Columbus Crew had another thrilling, 88th minute+ goal to steal the win last night. J-Meram wasn't to be denied as the ball was bouncing around at the top of the goalie box.

On a side note, Tony Tchani came in and proceeded to turn the ball over on his first two touches. Granted, he may have been cold coming off the bench, but WTF!

We need super-SUBS, not super-DUDS.

The win puts Columbus clear of DC United and now sit in 5th place in the Eastern Conference.

Preexisting condition causing the death of Urso.

http://www.10tv.com/content/stories...urso-died-of-preexisting-heart-condition.html

Rookie Crew midfielder Kirk Urso died of a preexisting heart condition, the Franklin County Coroner reported on Friday.

The coroner?s report stated that Urso died of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.

Urso collapsed after leaving a Park Street bar in the beginning of August. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Guess it's better to be lucky than good sometimes.

That winner by Mirosevic was offsides.

Still had to defend for a good while afterwards, so a win's a win.

I'll take what I can get.

Not sure if I would have managed to flip over to this game with everything else going on, but I would have liked the option. Reds are first choice on FSN Ohio around here naturally. The alternate channel was showing TCU-SMU instead of the Crew for some reason though. :(

The line judge at that end of the field was horribly off the entire night. In fact, I'm not even sure he knew exactly what the fuck he was doing.

All things considered, it isn't like this is a startling revelation.... MLS (FIFA, I believe) officials are BAD.

Funny you bring this up. You know, I thought when the Crew struck a deal with Fox Sports Ohio, it'd be a great thing. I regret ever thinking that. Coverage of home games has been about as nice as it gets to televised soccer games (minus that dickface that announces with Duncan). Coverage of the away games couldn't be any more awful. I thought going into the season, all games (home and away) would be televised IN HD. No. Some games are aired in SD only, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

In Columbus, we have both FS Cincinnati and FS Cleveland. Since the Indians are on STO, I've watched every game on FS Cleveland.

The problem with road games, is that FS Ohio is not there. They're calling the games from the studio, and relying on the home team's feed. I don't know the reasoning, but many teams don't send the HD feed to FS Ohio. Overall, I've been really pleased with the coverage. I haven't been able to make it to a single game this season, but I have been able to watch the majority of them with only one or two conflicts. Add in that ONN stopped broadcasting on Aug 31st, and I think the move was a good one for the Crew.

Get rid of Dwight Burgess, and give me HD feeds on away games, and I'm sold.

Eddie Gaven puts away a goal in the first 10 minutes to go ahead of DC, 1-0.

This game is absolutely huge when it comes to the Crew's playoff hopes.

Game is on FSN Ohio for anyone interested.
