Columbus Alive

Columbus signs Chilean attacking midfilder Milovan Mirosevic. Also mentions a link from Goal.com that is reporting Columbus also signed Costa Rican F Olman Vargas. Would be a super sub off the bench or a potential starter. Would be a BIG upgrade over Heinemann. 11 goals 1 assist in 32 games in 2010 (half of his games off the bench), 8 goals 3 assists in 21 games last year (all but one game as a starter).

Chris DeVille at Columbus Alive is another great source of Crew info. Long time supporter of Columbus before he went into journalism and really knows his stuff.

Must-read update on... well... pretty much everything we've been talking about lately with regards to next season's roster (including Speas). Warzycha's comments about a potential DP is interesting, to say the least :)

MLS just released our schedule for the 2012 season. Linked is our home schedule. Interesting that our first home game is not Toronto like it has been the last few years... they're now our final home game.

MLS Superdraft mock draft - mlssoccer.com -- Interesting picks. Would be surprised as all get-out if Akron's Darren Mattocks isn't the #1 overall pick. Columbus has the #10 (1st round), #26 (2nd), and #29 (2nd) overall picks in the 2 round draft.

The more I find out about Mirosevic, the more I like him. He could be a real coup for us.

Fantastic news if it proves to be true. Might be waiting for the Monday news day to announce it. Would basically give Columbus 2 first round picks this year if they can sign him as an HG.

Exactly. Crew have a solid foundation for next season, a home run with a high profile DP.
