They are the most mentally fragile group of hockey players I've ever seen.

JO is right. It's like clockwork. Even after they score you're holding your breath because it seems that 80% of the time the other team is going to score within 30-40 seconds after the Jackets score. It's like they use so much energy to score there is such a let down afterwards that they can't get it together for 2-3 minutes.

Well I was going to say that for the first 10 minutes, the Blue Jackets came out and played completely unmotivated and uninspired and the Oilers went up 2-0.

Then Jody Shelley lit up some guy (I think his name was Gilbert) and got into a fight. Maybe that will motivate them.

End of 2nd period: Oliers 3 - Blue Jackets 0

They are playing like zombies. Maybe Shelly needs to "light up" some of his own teammates to modivate them. :biggrin:

They played motivated for exactly 45 seconds after that fight. When the goal was taken away from them (and they got screwed I'll admit) that was that.

People could've left the arena right then. They'll lose something like 5-2 in the end.

[Rant] I hate that the NHL won't let certain players fight. It's complete bullshit. I wanted to see Nasher kick the shit out of that guy. As an aside, I'd also like to see Crosby get his ass kicked as well. [/Rant]

The Edmonton guy turtled. The refs are told to get in if one guy isn't even trying to fight.

berard got blindsided by a guy coming out of the box. Berard didn't have a chance.

Nash looked good and Shelley was lighting people up. Unfortunately it looked a lot more like Slap Shot than the NHL.
