Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

He's been a stalwart on my Fantasy team all season. Good thing for him that he's getting some recognition this season as well as getting a nice contract extension. Congrats, Nick. You've earned it.

I dont know that i want them to try for the playoffs at this point, way too many injuries and way too loaded off a draft
Think about adding a Dylan Strome or Mitch Marner to our prospect table.
Islanders
Montreal
Bruins
Rangers
Minnesota

as the next 5.
Ouch.

with Toronto and the Jets as the other 2 games before the ASB, i think the Jackets need to win at least 4 of those 7 including friday night because thats a 4 point swing. looking like we are going to be back to 9 points out of a playoff spot going into tomorrow. if we are still around 8-10 points out by the ASB i say tank away! they would pick 7th right now which according to craig button would give them Oliver Kylington. but with whos available i dont see how they pass on Barzal/Zacha/Svechnikov. http://www.tsn.ca/craig-s-list-mcdavid-eichel-still-neck-and-neck-1.177115

HERE'S RYAN JOHANSEN WEARING A BRAXTON MILLER JERSEY AT THE NHL ALL-STAR SKILLS COMPETITION

Columbus is hosting NHL All Star Weekend, and the Blue Jackets' biggest star played to the home crowd with a tribute to Braxton Miller during the Skills Competition on Saturday night.

Before his first shot of the Breakaway Challenge, Johansen took off his Blue Jackets jersey to reveal a No. 5 Ohio State jersey underneath. (Not) Concidentally, that's Miller's number.

Of course, it didn't escape No. 5's attention.

BRAXTON MILLER ✔ @BraxtonMiller5
I see you @RyanJohansen19

7:48 PM - 24 Jan 2015

Ryan Johansen pulled out all the stops: not only did he wear Miller's jersey on his first shot, he scooped up a kid to take his second shot and finished with a flying V on his third shot.

The stunt worked out well for Johansen, as he ended up winning the skills competition. It pays to know your audience.

Bobrovsky has lower-body injury

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will miss this weekend's NHL All-Star Game -- on home ice -- due to a lower-body injury he suffered Wednesday night in Winnipeg.

.
The Blue Jackets did not reveal a timetable for Bobrovsky's return.

The team announced on Monday that Bobrovsky will miss the next 4-6 weeks because of the injury. Goaltender Anton Forsberg has been recalled from Springfield.

Well I think you can now realistically flush any chances of the Blue Jackets making the playoffs this season down the toilet.....

That's the remaining schedule in February. If they continue to play well like they have in the past 2 games, and go 8-2 in that stretch, they will find themselves right in the thick of the Eastern WC. If they go any worse than 7-3 they're absolutely 100% done.
