Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

4 points in their last 4 games, but 2 of those games have been against Chicago....4 points for this group is progress, and winning today against Colorado is a nice step in the right direction.

They still suck, but at least they are still playing hard.

Agreed. Even though they aren't very good, they are at least playing hard and competing.

8 of the last 9 decided by 1 goal, and the 9th was by 2 when PHX got the EN.

Of course, they only have 4 points in those 9 games.

This team is garbage. Terrible. Awful. 14th place out of 15 with 15 having a game in hand.

Now, having gotten that out of the way.....I know there are a lot of teams ahead of the CBJ and most of them also have games in hand.....but the CBJ are only 6 points back of the 4 seed right now.

Well they beat the dogshit out of Detroit yesterday. I'm pretty certain Detroit wasn't actually on the ice in any way other than physically, and that part got its ass kicked.

It should be interesting to see what happens today - the CBJ will face (I hope) a better effort from Detroit.

Detroit lost the season series to Columbus.... That means they are worthless pieces of dog shit. This season, at least.

someone break up the BJs!!!

Actually what I think is going on is teams that have a more effort/grinding style like Columbus are wearing down teams that don't (like chicago and Detroit). Columbus won't (at least this year) out-skill Detroit on the ice, but they can beat the shit out of them, play solid defense and capitalize on mistakes.

Detroit might be officially done after this road trip. The next 7 are all on the road, and they are all on the west coast.

Sergei Bobrovsky has been named the 1st Star of the Week by the NHL

4-0-0 record with a 0.77 goals-against average, .972 save percentage and one shutout in four games last week, stopping 106-of-109 shots in 233 minutes of action...

Steve Mason must be very depressed right now. He's relegated to being an occasional backup on the 2nd half of a back to back sometimes and that's about it.

God, if there is a worse radio guy than Bob Mcelligott, I don't know who it is. He doesn't add anything to the experience but whining.

Man, I miss the pairing of George Matthews & Bill Davidge. :(
