Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Well that ought to be about it, right?

9-2?!?!? Anyone see Cody Bass jump everyone's shit as he went by the bench after his fight?? The rest of the team just stared off like they were stoned.

Did Rick Nash even play tonight?

This is the worst hockey team in the league gang. By a mile.

Wonder who gets dumped first.

Can't believe no one was fired immediately after Saturday (or even before Saturday). I was ready to wake up Sunday morning and see either (or both) the GM and Coach were fired.

But I guess there's Sunday night or Monday. Something needs to change (players, coach, GM, owner, combination).

I'm glad that plan never happened, though. Why re-hire the coach that was just fired before Arniel? Bring in some new blood.

I wish the owners would not mess with the team. Just own it and hire someone who knows what they fuck they're doing.

This team tied their nuts to guys like Brassard, Russell, Mason, guys who have no business on an NHL roster. I mean Jesus, with Carter, Prospal, and Nash playing together, what would this team be instead? 4-9? This team is just god-awful. This is just like the fucking Browns. They have one or three legit guys (Nash, Carter, Prospal) and a shit load of fourth liners and role players who don't do shit when expected to do more than they're capable of, which is the organization's fault, not theirs. Pahlsson, Dorsett, and even Boll, Bass, Calvert...all of those guys are decent 4th line guys. The problem is the donkey blowage on lines 2-3, and the expectation that Dorsett can be a 2nd line forward. He can't. Or that Vermette is a top flight center. He isn't. Or that Tyutin is a top line defenseman. He isn't. And don't even look at the goaltending. We got rid of the only guy, Garon, that held the ship together last year. Now, it's Mason and a bunch of kids and journeymen...yeah, who couldn't see disaster striking?

On cue, shot from a nearly impossible angle and Mason puts the rebound in the middle of the ice, 10 feet from the net, where an unmarked Toes buries it.

Color me shocked.
